Once the installation of these systems was completed, the restoration of interior finishes could be accomplished. Lime plaster was restored to walls and ceilings throughout the mansion. Guided by careful “reading” of surviving evidence, MCWB Architects developed drawings for all the lost architectural elements. These included the four original stairways, interior trim, doors, fireplace surrounds and hardware.
